 Digital Technology

Digital hearing aids are programmable hearing aids with fully digital processing. This means that they have all the advantages of computer programming and all the benefits of digital processing. With digital processing, a clear, crisp signal is presented to your ear to enhance speech understanding.

Digital hearing aids also include multiple channels for more precise frequency shaping and loudness compensation. Dual-microphone directional technology and digital processing for noise reduction and voice activity detection are just some of the advanced characteristics of digital hearing aids. Feedback management systems virtually eliminate the “squeal” many people experience with past hearing aid technology. All these enhancements work together to provide the optimum signal to your ears to help you hear and understand speech better.
